(5-13-14) Satanic Artist H. R. Giger, producer of bio-mechanical hybrids which envisioned trans-humanism as the fusion of humans and machines, was unexpectedly called back to hell.
Hired by filmmaker Alexander Jodorowsky in 1975 for his ill-fated adaptation of "Dune," Giger said, "My planet was ruled by evil design, a place where black magic was practiced, aggressions were let loose, and intemperance and perversion were the order of the day. Just the place for me, in fact."
In other words, Giger has fulfilled his dream. He's gone back to hell,
Most famous for his design of the Facehugger and Chestburster monsters in the Ridley Scott film "Alien", Giger was reportedly escorted through the fiery gates by Satan himself, who praised Giger's obsessions with sex and death, saying -- "Well done my son. Those pesky humans will never be able to forget those nightmares in art you channeled from me."
Giger was unavailable for comment because -- well - he was dead...
